Our facility provides comfortable and safe living environments, nutritious meals, recreational activities, and various amenities to enhance the overall well-being of our clients during their stay.

A Day at New Beginnings Recovery Home

Morning

A morning at New Beginnings starts with waking up, making beds, and conducting bed checks. A nutritious breakfast is served and enjoyed for about an hour in the dining area. Clients then Engage in Class 1 activities, which may include Process Group, Psycho-educational Groups, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) sessions with counselors, presentations, book work, whiteboard sessions, artistic endeavors, exercises, and more. Class 1 activities span 2 hours.

Afternoon

Lunch is served at 12:00pm and is enjoyed in the dining area. Clients then participate in Class 2 activities focusing on Sponsorship work, 12-step-related tasks, SMART RECOVERY, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) exercises. Clients then have about an hour of free time to spend on hobbies or homework. On weekends, no formal group programming is scheduled. Clients are encouraged to attend recovery meetings as part of their ongoing support. The remainder of the weekend is considered free time, allowing clients to rest, engage in personal activities, connect with peers, and focus on their recovery in a structured and supportive environment

Evening

A hearty dinner is served at 5:00 PM, followed by a period of free time during which clients may engage in personal activities such as reading, walking, watching television, or working on step work. This is followed by our nightly outing to a mandatory 12-Step meeting, which is an essential part of the recovery program. Clients gather in the main living room to coordinate transportation arrangements. The meeting schedule is predetermined; however, in the event of a cancellation, alternative meeting arrangements may be made with staff approval. The kitchen closes at 10:00 PM, and all clients are expected to follow the 11:00 PM curfew.

Visiting Hours and Guidelines

Family, friends, and support networks play an important role in the recovery process. We encourage clients to connect with their loved ones during designated visitation times outside the facility.
