Your Comfort and Care is our #1 Priority

Our facility provides comfortable and safe living environments, nutritious meals, recreational activities, and various amenities to enhance the overall well-being of our clients during their stay.

A Day at New Beginnings Recovery Home

Morning

A morning at New Beginnings starts with waking up, making beds, and conducting bed checks. A nutritious breakfast is served and enjoyed for about an hour in the dining area. Clients then Engage in Class 1 activities, which may include Process Group, Psycho-educational Groups, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) sessions with counselors, presentations, book work, whiteboard sessions, artistic endeavors, exercises, and more. Class 1 activities span 2 hours.

Afternoon

Lunch is served at 12:15pm and is enjoyed in the dining area. Clients then participate in Class 2 activities focusing on Sponsorship work, 12-step-related tasks, SMART RECOVERY, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) exercises. Clients then have about an hour of free time to spend on hobbies or homework. On weekends, there is no second class and instead this time is dedicated to visitations or additional free time.

Evening

A hearty dinner is served at 4:00pm. Then, a period of free time takes place where clients can engage in personal activities such as reading, walking, watching TV, or working on step-work. After this free time period comes our nightly outing to a 12-step meeting. Clients gather in the main living room for transportation arrangements to the meeting. The type of meetings for the day will be pre-determined, however, clients can opt to go to different meetings via TTC, or make their own arrangements with staff approval. Our kitchen closes at 10:00pm and our curfew is 11:00pm.

Visiting Hours and Guidelines

Family, friends, and members of support networks are an important part of the recovery process for our clients. We strongly encourage families and loved ones to visit. Visiting hours are Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Permitted items can be dropped off for clients at any time, any day of the week (with staff approval). Please take note our guidelines for visitations below:

  • Clients are allowed visitors after the first 14 days of their treatment program.
  • All visitors must sign in at the front office upon entering the property.
  • Visitors will be asked to sign a standard confidentiality agreement.
